Transparent Shoes

August 1, 2019

One of the very first blog posts I wrote was about my love for nude shoes. There are several reasons I love nude shoes (you can read them here) but the main reason is that they elongate your legs because there is no visual break. So when brands started to manufacture see through shoes you can imagine how excited I was!

When choosing a pair of transparent shoes make sure you select one that has a nude or white sole. Any other color will create a visual break and ruin the illusion of longer legs. Because transparent shoes are a trend (rather than a nude pump, which is timeless) I recommend purchasing a pair that isn’t too expensive.

Now let’s talk about the rest of this outfit, which is a favorite of mine. The leaf pattern on this dress is so playful and chic. I also love the cut out on the back of the dress, which is unexpected and a really fun detail. Together the pattern and cut of the dress make it look expensive, even though it’s super affordable (only $69). Sizing wise the waist is pretty tight so consider going up a size when ordering.

For the finishing touch I chose these flower statement earrings, which I thought were a really fun way to play off the leaf print on the dress. These earrings are pricey, however they are handmade and the materials used are silk, shells, pearl and quartz. Just a heads up the earrings are slightly heavy, but they are clip on which makes them super easy to wear (I’ve worn them all day and never had an issue). I’ll be discussing statement earrings in greater detail in my next post so keep an eye out for that and make sure to check out some other affordable and fun dresses from Chicwish that I found below!
