Work Wardrobe Wednesday No. 45

October 7, 2015

leather-leggings-yael-steren
In last week’s Work Wardrobe Wednesday post I discussed my love of menswear for women. I received a lot of requests asking if I could demonstrate another menswear for women look. Well, you know what I’m going to say next – ask and you shall receive!

The key for wearing this look is to make sure that all your pieces are tailored so that you create a streamlined silhouette.

So, which menswear for women inspired look of mine is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below!

cute look. Your leggings give the illusion that your boots are taller when you’re wearing your coat. It’s very sneaky, and I love it. I’m working hard to find appropriate ways to transition more feminine items into my work wardrobe, so I’m taking your menswear-as-womenswear posts very seriously, just with a bit of a skew from your original intentions. I don’t think I’m ready for leather leggings yet… but there are a lot of things about this look that works for me. Something I would like to see you touch on (or for you to point me to if you’ve done it already) is how to create a nice, curvy, feminine silhouette with the menswear look even if you’re not nice, curvy, and feminine. How can I give the illusion of curves without corsets and silicone inserts all over the place?

      Hi Kaye!

Yes, I love vests, and the pinstripe one added a bit more of the menswear vibe. So glad you like it! xx
