If there is one designer you can count on having an amazing show during NYFW, it is without question Tommy Hilfiger.

He’s transformed venues into a football stadium, a Caribbean island and a cruise ship. This past NYFW, Tommy Hilfiger outdid himself, turning part of the South Street Seaport into a carnival!!

Of course, it was not just the venue that was amazing – the nautical themed looks that were shown were equally spectacular. Gigi Hadid debuted her capsule collection and let’s just say I was smitten.

So here’s the really cool part. Normally when you see looks during fashion week, they aren’t actually available in stores for months. Recently, some designers have opted to eliminate that waiting period and adopted a “see now, buy now” approach, which means the clothes shown during NYFW are already available to purchase!

I, of course, am thrilled that Tommy Hilfiger is one of the designer’s who has embraced the “see now, buy now” approach, because I could instantly get my hands on one of my favorite pieces from the show – this faux fur bomber jacket, part of the TommyxGigi capsule collection!!! I love the contrast of the faux fur with the knit trim, and the aviator patch (patches are also a huge trend for fall, so expect to see a lot of them).

So do you love this bomber as much as I do and what was your favorite show during NYFW? Let me know in the comments below!

This is a really fun bomber jacket. I really liked the way you styled it with this bandana around your neck. Hope you have a great day xo, Emily

Thanks so much Emily! Tommy showed a lot of looks with bandanas and I’m all about the silk scarves so I thought it would be fun to incorporate in my look as well!! Hope you have a great day as well! xx yael

The jacket is cute, funky, and fun. Although, I don’t think I would be able to pull it off. I really loved Gigi’s capsule collection. Very fun, energetic, and fresh but still kept the Tommy Hilfiger style/vibe. I also love that they did adopt “see now, buy now” approach. I hope many more designers will continue to adopt this approach. My favorite show was Marissa Webb’s because of the vibe and her line is more like my style of clothing. Tom Ford and Tommy Hilfiger’s were a close tie for second.

Why don’t you think you’d be able to pull it off? I’d love to hear your thoughts!!! Agreed on Marissa Webb – I loved several of the pieces in her collection, especially the first ones that came down the runway (swoon)! xx yael
