Shopping for Vintage Clothing

December 1, 2014

Let’s talk shopping for vintage clothes today.

Without fail, the item I can almost always find in a vintage store or flea market is an amazing coat. In fact, I bought the coat I’m wearing in this post for $50!

While it is a bit more difficult to negotiate the price of an item in a vintage store, you can definitely negotiate the price at a flea market.

To find the best vintage stores and flea markets in your area just do a quick search on Google! What’s your favorite vintage item that you have ever purchased? Let me know in the comments below!

That coat is amaze – where is it from. Do you ever worry about bed bugs when buying these items or am I just crazy?

      Hi Kara!

Thanks so much! I bought it several years ago at a flea market in NY (in the Chelsea neighborhood). As for worrying about bed bugs, I honestly never even thought about that until now! That being said, it is a valid point. I would just inspect the item closely. From what I understand about bed bugs, you would be able to see them if they were on the garment. Hope that helps! xo yael
