Shoe Spotlight: Tamara Mellon

August 28, 2019

Just like most women, I love shoes! The first pair of shoes I ever invested in was from Jimmy Choo. Fast forward years later and the majority of my designer shoes are by Jimmy Choo. So, when I found out that the co-founder of Jimmy Choo formed a new shoe company I was immediately interested! Meet Tamara Mellon.

Aside from the design (which I’ll talk about more later), there are several things I love about this brand. First, the shoes are designed by women, which means that the comfort of the shoe is paramount. Second, she pays attention to detail when crafting the shoes. I love that there are no seams on the sides of the shoes (you can see the difference here). Third, she stands behind the craftsmanship of the shoes and even offers a complimentary Cobbler Concierge service. For up to two years, they will repair your shoes for free (even the shipping is complimentary). Finally, Tamara Mellon follows a direct to consumer model, which means that you get the exact same high-end quality that you would from other luxury designers but at a fraction of the price.

Now let’s talk about the sandals I’m wearing in today’s post!! I’ve never seen this design before, which is a pretty amazing feat (no pun intended!) for shoes! The translucent and leather straps are a really cool detail and give the sandals a sexy vibe, while still maintaining an overall classic feel. If you prefer a shorter heel, the same style is available with a 75mm heel (the pair I’m wearing are 105mm). And both the 75 and 105mm also come in other colors as well (I’m a huge fan of the honey and red ). I’ve linked to some of my other favorite styles at the end of this post so make sure to check them out too!
