Even though I love nude lipstick, I’m also a huge fan of a red lip! Unfortunately I have dry lips so it’s tough to find a lipstick where I like the shade and the formula isn’t too drying. Tough, but not impossible because I found one that I love!
Nars Red Square is a matte velvet lip pencil (even though it’s called a pencil, treat it the same as you would a lipstick, not a lip liner). As the name states, it’s a matte color, so if you prefer your lipstick to have some shine or sparkle, this is not the shade for you!
Before applying the Nars Red Square, I line my lips with a clear lip liner (my personal fave is Urban Decay lip pencil in Ozone) to ensure that the red doesn’t bleed out. Then I apply the Nars lip pencil and that’s it! Super simple!
